About Winner Meta

Welcome to Winner Meta, a platform built by a solo developer who is passionate about PUBG and data-driven gaming insights.
As both a developer and PUBG player, I wanted to create a tool that helps the community better understand the weapon meta and make smarter choices in-game.

Who I Am

Hi, I'm the solo developer behind Winner Meta. I've been a software engineer for nearly 10 years, and Winner Meta is the result of combining my professional background with my passion for PUBG. I started this project because, after returning to the game, I couldn't find a tool that gave me the deep, data-driven statistics I wanted—so I decided to build it myself. You can read more about the story behind the project here.

Tech Stack

Winner Meta is powered by modern and scalable technologies:

  • Laravel – High-performance backend framework
  • Inertia.js + React – Seamless, modern front-end experience
  • PostgreSQL + TimescaleDB – Advanced time-series data storage and compression
  • RabbitMQ – Distributed event-driven orchestration for processing millions of events

How We Process PUBG Data

Winner Meta operates under important technical and legal constraints:

API Compliance

We strictly adhere to PUBG's API Terms of Service, which explicitly forbids:

  • Attempting to ingest all match data globally
  • Estimating the total number of PUBG matches
  • Bulk scraping of player or match information

Resource & Data Management

To provide a fast and reliable experience while managing infrastructure costs:

  • Rolling Data Window – We maintain a high-performance database of ~200GB.
  • 14-Day Deep Dive – Full telemetry details are generally available for 14 days, after which data is compressed or archived to maintain system speed.
  • Distributed Processing – We use a fleet of distributed workers to process over 660 million telemetry events.

For a technical deep dive into how we handle this scale, check out our Under the Hood blog post.

Match Processing Priority

To make the best use of our resources:

  1. Linked Accounts – Players who log in and link their PUBG account receive priority processing.
  2. On-Demand Parsing – If you see a "?" icon on a match, it means the data is available but hasn't been parsed yet. Simply click to trigger processing.
  3. Recent Searches – Frequently searched players are refreshed more often.

This approach allows us to deliver accurate, compliant stats while working within our technical constraints.

Features

Winner Meta provides PUBG players with actionable stats and insights:

Streams & Reactions

Search for any player and see all the Twitch streams where they appear! Under the "Streams & Reactions" tab on each player's profile, you can watch moments when popular streamers encountered and fought that player. See kills, deaths, and epic battles from the streamer's perspective.

  • Search Players – find any PUBG player and explore their profile
  • Stream Appearances – view all VOD clips where a player appears in streamer matches
  • Streamer Reactions – watch how top broadcasters react to encounters with specific players
  • Browse Streamers – explore our featured Twitch streamers

Weapon & Meta Analytics

  • Weapon Effectiveness – see how weapons perform at different distance buckets
  • Trending Weapons – discover which guns are dominating the current meta
  • Headshot & Damage Rates – analyze accuracy and power across all weapons

Match & Player Stats

  • Match Analysis – detailed breakdowns of individual matches
  • Player Performance – compare statistics and playstyles
  • Performance Trends – track player progress over time

Why Winner Meta?

  • Built by a player, for players

  • Continually improved with new features

Winner Meta is more than just stats — it's about helping PUBG players adapt, improve, and win.

How to Link Your Twitch Channel to Your PUBG Player

Follow these simple steps to get your streams on WinnerMeta:

Step 1: Create Your Account

Step 2: Link Your PUBG Player

  • Go to Settings → Links & Notifications
  • Select your PUBG platform (Steam, Kakao, psn or xbox)
  • Search for and select your in-game PUBG player name
  • Enter your Twitch channel URL (e.g., https://twitch.tv/your-username)
  • Click Save preferences

Step 3: Add WinnerMeta to Your Twitch Social Links (Temporarily)

After saving, you'll see a special link information box with copy buttons. Follow these instructions:

  1. Copy the Link Title: WinnerMeta - PUBG Stats and Reports
  2. Copy the Link URL (your unique WinnerMeta player profile URL)
  3. Go to your Twitch Dashboard → Settings → Channel
  4. Scroll down to the "Social Links" section
  5. Click "Add a Link"
  6. Paste the Title and URL from WinnerMeta
  7. Save your changes

Step 4: Wait for Verification Email

You'll receive an email notification once we've verified your setup and started processing your streams. After receiving this confirmation email, you can:

  • Remove the social link from your Twitch profile if you prefer a cleaner look
  • Keep it there to let viewers easily check your PUBG stats and featured moments on WinnerMeta

The link is only needed for our initial verification - keeping it is optional but can help drive traffic to your stats page!

One of our biggest challenges is matching Twitch broadcasters to their exact PUBG player names. While our AI systems do much of the heavy lifting, they aren't perfect yet.

We rely on and greatly appreciate community help in matching streamers to improve our stream detection accuracy!
