PUBG Update 41.1: Dual Optic, Tilted Grip & Weapon Shakeup
PUBG Update 41.1 is here, and it's one of the more attachment-heavy patches in recent memory. Two brand-new attachments hit the loot pool, a beloved DMR gets a major recoil tune-up, and several long-running weapons are getting the sunset treatment next patch. Here's what matters most for your loadout.
New Attachments: Dual Optic & Tilted Grip
Two additions you'll want to keep your eyes open for:
Dual Optic 4x1x — Instant 1x / 4x Toggle
The Dual Optic is exactly what aggressive players have been asking for. It switches between 1x and 4x magnification instantly, letting you take close-quarters gunfights without being locked into a single zoom level. No more choosing between a red dot for close range and a 4x for mid-range — this single attachment covers both. Expect it to become the default optic on ARs and DMRs wherever you find it.
Tilted Grip — Vertical Recoil Control
The Tilted Grip offers +12% vertical recoil reduction and +6% horizontal recoil reduction, making it a strong choice for full-auto engagements at medium range. It slots into the grip attachment position, competing with the Thumb Grip and the newly buffed Half Grip.
You can explore all available grips and optics on our Attachments page.
Dragunov Gets a Big Recoil Buff
The Dragunov receives approximately 20% vertical and 15% horizontal recoil reduction this patch. The Dragunov has historically been frustrating to control in extended engagements — this change brings it much closer to the VSS and SLR in terms of follow-up shot reliability. If you've been sleeping on the Dragunov, now is the time to give it a real chance.
Angled Foregrip Removed — Half Grip Takes Its Role
The Angled Fore Grip has been removed from world spawns entirely. PUBG has integrated its horizontal recoil function into the Half Grip, which now provides 16% horizontal recoil control. If you were running the Angled Foregrip on your AR as a horizontal recoil band-aid, the Half Grip now effectively replaces it and remains fully available in the world loot pool.
This change simplifies the grip meta and nudges players toward the Tilted Grip or Thumb Grip for vertical/horizontal balance, or the Half Grip for pure horizontal stability.
Weapons Being Removed in Update 42.1
The following weapons will be sunset in the next update (42.1):

| PP-19 Bizon | SMG | View |

If any of these are part of your regular rotation, now is your last patch to enjoy them in normal play. Check their full stats while you can on our Weapons page.
Other Highlights
Destructible Terrain on Erangel — Grenades, mortars, explosives, and pickaxes can now tear up Erangel's ground, matching what was previously available on other maps. Ranked play is included.
Emergency Support Flare — A new throwable that summons a supply drop mid-fight. Found in care packages and special loot locations. Contents include three ammo types plus utility items — situationally very powerful in late circles.
Jammer Pack Tiers (Lv.1–3) — The existing Jammer Pack now comes in three upgrade levels with increasing blue zone protection. Higher tiers are restricted to premium loot sources, adding more late-game variance.
Xeno Point Mode on Miramar — A new limited event mode pitting players against an alien invasion, complete with an Event Pass.
