Patch Notes - Update 41.2
Update 41.2 introduces the 'Execution' mechanic for melee weapons, allowing players to finish downed enemies with specific animations. The Blue Chip Tower Supply Call has been rebalanced to reduce spam, featuring instant delivery but lower item rates and a longer casting time. Additionally, Miramar receives new Secret Rooms, while several legacy weapons are scheduled for removal in the subsequent June update.

Update 41.1 introduces Destructible Terrain to Erangel, allowing destruction via explosives and the new Pickaxe item. New attachments include the Hybrid Scope for variable magnification and the Tilted Grip for recoil control, alongside a buff to the Half Grip and removal of the Angled Foregrip from world spawns. The Dragunov receives a significant recoil reduction, while the Emergency Support Flare and tiered Jammer Packs are added as new gameplay items.

Update 40.2 introduces significant changes to Vikendi, replacing crowbar-locked doors with standard doors, rebalancing item spawns, and adding new items to Secret Rooms. Arcade modes receive adjustments including new shotguns and gear in Intense Battle Royale supply drops and a scope upgrade for the DMR/SR crate. Several gameplay and platform-specific bug fixes are also included.

Update 40.1 returns Erangel to its standard form, removing Subzero features and adding destructible gas tanks. DMR balance changes nerf the Mk12's damage and recoil while slightly buffing the SLR. Significant UX/UI updates introduce a throwable inventory display, squad status icons, and a virtual cursor for console players.

Erangel: Subzero adds crashing Satellites, Frost Zone Bombs, Thermal Protection Suits, and harsher blizzard weather. Rondo receives loot-spawn adjustments, while PC Ranked access now requires a Secondary Password instead of SMS authentication. Several gameplay and audio bugs were fixed across PC and Console.
1/6/2026Patch Notes - Update 39.1
Update 39.1 adds the Erangel: Subzero winter map changes, including frozen terrain and rivers, altered areas, Blue Zone freezing effects, disabled Red Zones, and new weather. The BZ Grenade Launcher is added, while several weapons receive recoil or ballistic adjustments. Arcade, Casual Mode, bot behavior, Ranked matchmaking, and multiple gameplay bugs are also updated.
12/2/2025Patch Notes - Update 38.2
Update 38.2 removes Rondo’s Market system and adds Secret Rooms, Test Track lap timing, terrain changes, and new spawn points. Vikendi gains destructible Gas Tanks, while console starting-island waiting time decreases from 90 to 60 seconds. Several gameplay, vehicle, Red Zone, and Rondo bugs are fixed.
