PUBG Weapon Meta July 2026: What Changed Since June

July is not a full weapon reset. The strongest names are still familiar: AUG A3, M416, MP5K, ACE32, BerylM762, Mk12, Mini14, M24, and Kar98k.

The interesting part is not a new king. It is the way volume shifted underneath the top tier.

This update looks at WinnerMeta's July telemetry through July 20, 2026, compared with the same June 1-20 window.

Biggest usage changes vs June

The short version: July pushed more volume toward AUG, ACE32, Mini14, and SLR, while M416, Beryl, MP5K, and AKM gave back some share.

That does not make the older picks bad. Most of the kill-per-shot changes are tiny. July is mainly a usage shift, not a damage collapse.

AUG A3 is even more dominant

AUG A3 was already the top full-auto weapon in June. In July it moved even further ahead, rising from 15.08% to 16.65% of tracked weapon shots.

Its kill-per-shot rate stayed almost unchanged: 1.137% in July versus 1.146% in the June comparison window.

That is the important signal. AUG is not gaining share because it suddenly became wildly more lethal in the data. It is gaining share because players keep trusting it as the safest high-volume AR.

M416 slipped, but only in popularity

M416 fell from 12.19% to 11.45% share, but its conversion barely moved: 1.186% kill/shot in July versus 1.190% in June.

So this is not a panic stat. M416 remains one of the best general-purpose rifles in PUBG. The July story is that more players are choosing AUG and ACE32 around it.

For direct comparisons, start with AUG A3 vs M416 and M416 vs ACE32.

ACE32 gained ground while Beryl dipped

ACE32 rose from 8.02% to 8.64% share. BerylM762 moved the other way, dropping from 8.49% to 7.92%.

Beryl is still the slightly higher-conversion rifle in July: 1.280% kill/shot versus 1.251% for ACE32. But ACE32 is closing the volume gap because it gives players a more forgiving route into 7.62 AR damage.

If you can control Beryl, it is still rewarding. If you want a steadier 7.62 AR, ACE32 is clearly part of the July meta.

MP5K remains huge despite losing share

MP5K dropped from 10.34% to 9.77% share, but it is still the third most-used weapon in this July window.

Its kill-per-shot is basically flat: 1.135% in July versus 1.132% in June.

That makes MP5K similar to M416 this month. Less volume does not mean worse performance. It is still the main SMG in the meta, with UMP45 and Vector behind it.

Mini14 gained more long-range volume

Mini14 had one of the clearest long-range usage jumps, moving from 3.55% to 4.34% share.

It still sits just behind Mk12 in July volume:

Mk12 is still the volume leader, but Mini14 is closer than it was in June.

SLR kept some of its post-buff attention

SLR is not suddenly a top-volume DMR, but it did rise from 1.10% to 1.47% share.

That matters because the Update 42.1 SLR buff gave players a reason to revisit it. July suggests some of that attention stuck.

The caution: SLR's July kill-per-shot is 1.215%, down from 1.297% in the June comparison window. It is still useful, but the hype should stay measured. Dragunov remains the stronger efficiency outlier among common DMRs.

Top July full-auto weapons

AUG is the safest headline pick. M416 is still stable. ACE32 is the climber. Beryl and AKM keep strong conversion numbers, but lost some usage share.

What this means for players

If you want the safest rifle choice, start with AUG A3. It has the biggest share and no obvious efficiency warning sign.

If you want a familiar all-rounder, M416 is still fine. The usage drop is not matched by a performance drop.

If you like 7.62 ARs, July is a real ACE32 month, but BerylM762 still rewards better recoil control.

For close range, MP5K, UMP45, and Vector remain the core SMGs to compare.

For range, Mk12 and Mini14 are still the main DMR volume picks, while M24 and Kar98k remain the standard SR pair.

The July meta is stable at the top, but not frozen. AUG strengthened, Mini14 gained, ACE32 moved up, and SLR stayed relevant enough to watch.
